ListenLoveChild safety standards
Last updated: October 2026
These are ListenLove's published standards on child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). They apply to every member, to everything shared in the app, and to chats, voice calls and profile content.
Zero tolerance
ListenLove is for adults aged 18 and over only. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Any member who breaks these standards has their account removed permanently, loses any unused minutes, and may be reported to authorities.
What is prohibited
The following is never allowed, in any form, to anyone:
- Any image, video, audio, drawing or AI-generated material that shows a child being sexually abused or exploited.
- Asking for, receiving, sharing, storing or linking to such material.
- Grooming: building trust or a secret relationship with someone you believe to be under 18 in order to get sexual content or a sexual meeting.
- Sexual language, sexual requests, nudity or sexual images aimed at someone you believe to be under 18.
- Trying to move a conversation to another app or website to hide it from us.
- Lying about your age, or pretending to be a minor.
- Selling, trading or threatening to share intimate images of anyone, including minors.
Age rules
You must be at least 18 to create an account and must give your real birthdate. We do not run background checks, but we may ask any member to confirm their age. Accounts we cannot confirm may be restricted or removed while we check.
How we watch and enforce
We enforce these standards by:
- Giving every member a report button and a block button in each chat and call.
- Letting a reporter choose to share the conversation with admins; when they do, a copy up to the report is reviewed.
- Reviewing reports and complaints by hand, and removing accounts that break these standards.
- Keeping a block list of removed accounts and devices so they cannot simply sign up again.
- Reporting confirmed cases to the right authorities, including the NCMEC CyberTipline (CyberTipline.org) and the police.
How to report CSAE
If you see anything on this page, report it. You do not need proof.
- In the app: open the chat or profile, choose Report, and describe what happened. You can also use Settings → Send a complaint or question.
- By email: send it to support@listenlove.app with the word CSAE in the subject line. Include the person's name, when it happened and any screenshots.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.
If you are under 18 and something happened
Stop using the app and tell a trusted adult. In the Netherlands: police 0900-8844 (emergency 112), Meldmisdaad.nl, or the child helpline 0800-0585. In other EU countries: 116 111. You can also report material to the Internet Watch Foundation (iwf.org.uk) or INHOPE (inhope.org).
Working with authorities
We cooperate with law enforcement, child-safety organisations and reporting hotlines. Where the law requires it, we keep the records needed for an investigation and hand them over. We report CSAE material we become aware of to NCMEC.
Consequences
A member who breaks these standards is removed permanently and cannot open a new account. Removals for CSAE are only reversed if we made a clear mistake. Appeals go to support@listenlove.app.
Changes to these standards
We may update these standards. The newest version is always the one on this page.
